Although conditions did not permit Kansas Day radio activities to be held at Del's antenna facility in January, club members nonetheless enjoyed this winter event, making several contacts from their homes. Our club's General Class License sessions are progressing well and will continue through February 22nd at the Salvation Army in Olathe.

Ensorfest25 is rapidly approaching on May 10th. This enjoyable celebration continues to grow, featuring an ever-expanding variety of events. I encourage you to attend this relaxing family friendly event, and please consider assisting the Ensor Foundation in its preparations by contacting Marty or another officer listed in the club contact directory.

Be sure to mark your calendars for Tech Night on February 27th, where Jim—KØNK will present on the exciting new gadget technology available for tracking and supporting search and rescue missions.

A special thank you to Rick for the excellent Winter Field Day article he posted on our website. Our club has such a wonderful time preparing for emergencies during Summer Field Day; perhaps some members will consider winter emergencies and schedule a club activity for Winter Field Day next January. If you need to break out of the winter doldrums, consider joining or sponsoring a group that attends some of the area hamfests listed on our club's website calendar.
